Eye Bank Association of America PSA

I just posted two versions of a PSA promoting eye donation for the EBAA in Washington DC.  As I mentioned in my earlier post, March is National Eye Donor month.   Last month I flew out to Tucson to interview Christina-Taylor Green's father, John Green about the choice he and his wife made to donate Christina-Taylor's corneas.

Anyone can be a donor. Cataracts, poor eyesight, or age do not prevent you from being a donor...  I am honored to work with such an important cause and encourage everyone to register to become an eye donor at www.restoresight.org

March, National Eye Donor Month

Shortly after the one year anniversary of Christina-Taylor Green's tragic death, the Eye Bank Association of America flew me out to Tucson to interview her father, John Green. Despite the recent loss, John was able to communicate the importance of cornea donation as he and his wife had donated the corneas of young Christina and benefited several recipients in the process.  As an eye and organ donor, I am honored to be part of such a worthwhile cause.

During my brief stay in Tucson, I had some time to walk around the stunningly scenic grounds of the Westin La Paloma take in the unfamiliar beauty of the arid west.
